Day 002

$50.00

"Day 002"

8.5" x 11" acrylic on paper, unframed

Original work by Kellene Turner. Limited primary palette still life on salvaged sheet music. (The Beetles, "The Long and Winding Road")

Inspired by a bouquet gift from my mom over Christmas break. This set up was the perfect winter study to assign my mentor student (as well as myself). Taking time to not only invest in myself but to share that time in mentoring an art student has taught me a lot and we are only getting started.

This piece is a great reminder of the people who have taken time to encourage and mentor me through my life. It is without a doubt the glimmer of skill they nurtured in me then has helped immeasurably to where I am and have yet to go. These powerful memories continue to fuel me, thank you.
